Bari is a town on the South-eastern coast of Italy. The city is split into an Old town and more modern new town. It used to be a Fortress city and part of the Fort still exists but much of the Fort's surrounding areas (aka the Old Town) are now neighborhoods which still have small fort-like alleyways neighborhoods.
Bari is also home to the Orecchiette (Ear-lobe shaped pasta) pasta and you can almost always witness old Italian ladies making them right outside their house in the Old Town.
